What FREQS collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get it removed. Written to be read, not to be survived.
01 / Who is responsible
FREQS ("we", "us") operates freqs.app. For the purposes of the UK/EU GDPR, the data controller is [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

02 / What we collect
We only hold what the service needs. There is no advertising, no profiling and no data sold to anyone.
/Account: your email address. If you sign in with Google we also receive your Google display name, which we use to pre-fill your artist name. We never receive your Google password.
/Your profile: artist name, your freqs handle, and anything else you choose to add — photo, short bio, city, roles, genres, links (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Resident Advisor, Instagram, website), a booking email address, and a featured track title and link.
/A timestamp recording when you agreed to publish your page.
/Standard technical logs kept by our hosting providers (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and reliability.
We do not use analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
03 / Your page is public
This is the point of the service, so it is worth stating plainly: once you publish, everything on your profile is visible to anyone on the internet, and can be found by search engines, copied, or archived by third parties outside our control.
Only publish information you are happy to make public — in particular the booking email address, which will be visible to everyone, not only promoters.
Your account email address is never shown on your page.
04 / Why we are allowed to hold it
/Performing our contract with you: running your account and serving your page.
/Your consent: publishing your profile publicly. You give it with the checkbox when you publish, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your page.
/Our legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and fixing faults.
05 / Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers. They process data on our instructions, and we do not sell data to anyone.
/Supabase — database, sign-in and photo storage.
/Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website.
/Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google. If you never use Google sign-in, Google receives nothing about you: our fonts are served from our own servers, not Google's.
/SoundCloud — if an artist adds a track, their page embeds SoundCloud's player. SoundCloud can set its own cookies and receive the visitor's IP address. That processing is governed by SoundCloud's privacy policy, not ours.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EU, so your data may be transferred internationally under the safeguards those providers offer.
06 / Cookies
/A sign-in cookie, set when you log in, so you stay signed in. Strictly necessary — the service cannot work without it.
/A short-lived browser storage flag remembering that you have already seen the intro animation.
/Third-party cookies set by the SoundCloud player on pages where an artist has added a track.
We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
07 / How long we keep it
Your profile and photo are kept until you delete them. Deleting your page removes the profile record and the photo file straight away.
Your account (email address) is kept until you ask us to delete it — see the next section.
Hosting logs are kept for a short period by our providers on their own retention schedules.
08 / Your rights and how to use them
Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format.
/Correct it yourself: edit your page at any time while signed in.
/Delete your page yourself: use 'Delete your page' in the editor. This removes your profile and photo immediately.
/Delete your account entirely: email hello@freqs.app and we will erase your account and any remaining data. Self-serve account deletion is not built yet — see 'Known gaps'.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK the ICO, or in the EU your national authority.
09 / Children
FREQS is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you believe someone under 16 has published a page, tell us and we will remove it.
10 / Known gaps
We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist. They are being worked on:
/Account deletion is currently handled by email rather than a button in the app.

11 / Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell registered users by email before it takes effect.
