The deal between you and FREQS: what you can publish, what happens to your handle, and how to leave. Plain language, no traps.
01 / What FREQS is
FREQS is a service for underground electronic artists, events and labels to publish a public page at freqs.app/yourhandle and share it as a link.
These terms are between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or publishing a page you accept them.
02 / Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Sign-in is by Google or a link sent to your email address, so keep access to that inbox secure.
03 / Your content stays yours
You keep all rights in everything you upload — your name, photo, bio, links and track information.
You give us permission to host, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of running the service and showing your page publicly. That permission lasts only as long as you keep the content on FREQS: delete your page and it ends, apart from copies that may remain in backups for a short period or in third-party caches and archives we do not control.
We will not sell your content or use it in advertising without asking you first.
04 / What you must not publish
/Anything you do not have the rights to — including photos taken by someone else, and artwork or music you did not make or licence.
/Anyone else's identity. Do not impersonate another artist, act or brand.
/Anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexual content involving minors.
/Malware, scams, or links designed to deceive.
/Someone else's personal information published without their agreement.
You are responsible for what appears on your page. If a rights holder contacts us with a valid complaint, we will act on it.
05 / Handles
A handle is assigned when you publish, on a first-come basis. Typing one on the landing page does not reserve it — nothing is held until you publish.
You do not own your handle. We may reclaim or reassign one where it impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, was registered purely to resell or block, or is being used to abuse the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first.
Changing your handle breaks every existing link to your old address. That is your call to make, and your responsibility.
06 / What we may do
We may unpublish or remove a page, or suspend an account, where these terms are broken or where we are legally required to.
Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
07 / Ending it
You can delete your page at any time from the editor, and it stops being reachable immediately.
To close your account entirely, email hello@freqs.app.
You do not need our permission to leave, and we will not charge you to.
08 / Cost
FREQS is currently free. If we introduce paid features later, anything you already have stays available on the terms you signed up under for a reasonable notice period, and we will tell you before anything changes.
09 / The service is early
FREQS is provided as-is. We are building in the open and cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available, and we do not guarantee that your page will always be reachable.
Keep your own copy of anything you care about. Do not rely on FREQS as the only record of your work.
10 / Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost bookings, lost income, or loss of data. [HAVE A LAWYER SET AN APPROPRIATE LIABILITY CAP FOR YOUR JURISDICTION.]
If you use FREQS in the course of a business, you accept it is provided without the warranties a consumer would receive.
11 / Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will notify registered users by email before any significant change takes effect. Continuing to use FREQS after that means you accept the new version.
12 / Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
